Administrative Assistant

Platinum Recruiting is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant for a temp to hire position in Dayton, TN. This position will be supporting the Human Resources Department as well as other administrative offices.  In this role you will perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the department and/or managers and supervisors to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization.  Ensure a culture of safety throughout the site by adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

Administrative Assistant responsibilities include making travel and meeting arrangements, preparing reports, maintaining appropriate filing systems and functioning as full administrative support to Human Resources. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Answer, screen and transfer inbound phone calls
  • General clerical duties including photocopying, fax and mailing
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
  • Retrieve documents from filing system
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for managers or supervisors
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence
  • Maintain office supply inventories
  • Coordinate maintenance of office equipment
  • Ensure that programs regarding safety and security are followed at all times
  • Organize and market business functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs
